Bagel is a people-loving, affectionate boy with a playful personality and a heart full of love. He thrives on human companionship and absolutely adores snuggling with his people.

He’s confident in everyday environments, comfortable around noises and traffic, and enjoys calm, structured activities that help him stay balanced and happy. Bagel is the type of dog who bonds deeply with his person and wants to be included in daily life.

🧡 Rescue Story

Bagel was rescued from a euthanasia crisis when he was just 3–4 months old. Since then, he’s been moved around several times until our partner rescue stepped in and welcomed him into their training facility.

There, Bagel has been thriving — learning boundaries, building confidence, and showing everyone what a sweet and loving companion he truly is.

Bagel is one of those dogs who truly shines with someone who understands dogs and enjoys building trust through structure and positive interaction. With patient guidance, he becomes an incredibly rewarding companion.

🐕 With Other Dogs

Bagel gets along well with other dogs, especially calm and respectful pups.

He is socially appropriate, mostly receives play rather than initiating it, and does not react strongly even when other dogs are overly playful. He also enjoys relaxing in elevated or cozy spots where he can observe comfortably.

🐱 With Cats

Bagel has not been tested with cats.

Walks & Lifestyle

Bagel is one of the volunteers’ favorite dogs to walk because he’s such an easy and enjoyable companion on leash.

He walks calmly, shows little reaction to other dogs, and loves exploring the world with his people. While he enjoys playtime, he does not have extremely high stamina and does best with moderate exercise and calm, structured routines.

Now, he’s just waiting for someone to finally give him the life he deserves. ☀️🥯🐾

🏡 Ideal Home

Bagel would thrive best in a calm, adult-only or single-person household where he can build a close bond with his human.

He would do wonderfully with someone looking for a loyal, affectionate companion to share daily life with. While he loves other dogs and can happily coexist with them, his favorite thing in the world is simply being near his people. 💛
