When June first entered a municipal shelter in Cheongju, South Korea, he was just a puppy with his whole life ahead of him.

Our rescue partner discovered an online adoption appeal featuring him and rushed to the shelter, determined to save him before it was too late.

But June wasn’t alone.

His sister, May, was waiting beside him. There was no way they could leave one puppy behind,

so both siblings were rescued together and given the opportunity every dog deserves—a chance at a happy future.

Today, June is leaving that difficult beginning behind. He’s a joyful, curious puppy who is learning that people are kind,

adventures are exciting, and life is meant to be enjoyed. Now, all he needs is a family to continue the journey with him.

Rescue Story

June and his sister, May, were rescued together from a municipal shelter in Cheongju, South Korea.

When they arrived, they couldn’t imagine separating the two puppies, so both were rescued together and given a second chance at life.

Instead of growing up in a shelter, June now has the opportunity to discover what it means to be loved, cared for, and part of a family.

Personality & Temperament

June is exactly what you’d expect from a young puppy—curious, cheerful, playful, and always excited to discover something new.

He approaches life with enthusiasm and enjoys exploring his surroundings.

Whether he’s heading out for a walk, running around a yard, or simply spending time with people, June embraces each day with a happy spirit.

He has a moderate-to-high energy level and especially loves outdoor adventures.

Walks are one of his favorite activities, and while he can pull on the leash a little due to his excitement,

he’s still very young and learning. With consistency and positive training, he’ll continue to develop excellent manners.

June is an affectionate puppy who forms connections with both people and dogs.

He enjoys attention but also loves having canine friends to share adventures with, giving him a wonderful balance of independence and companionship.

Socialization

With People

• Friendly with women and men.

• Initially may observe unfamiliar people from a short distance, but quickly warms up when greeted kindly.

With Other Dogs

• May be slightly cautious around larger dogs initially but continues building confidence through positive experiences.

Like any six-month-old puppy, June is still learning about the world around him.

Because he’s still growing, his forever family should expect the normal puppy stage—learning routines, building confidence,

practicing leash manners, and discovering what it means to be a beloved family member.

• Receives monthly NexGard Spectra for heartworm, flea, tick, and intestinal parasite prevention.

Ideal Home

June is looking for a family that understands puppies need patience, guidance, and plenty of opportunities to learn.

His ideal home will:

• Provide daily exercise, playtime, and enrichment.
• Continue positive reinforcement training as he grows.
• Help build his confidence through new experiences.
• Include a family excited to watch him grow from a playful puppy into an incredible adult dog.

A friendly resident dog would be a wonderful bonus for June, but it isn’t required. More than anything,

he’s looking for people who will include him in their lives and give him the love and stability every puppy deserves.
