A gentle, affectionate boy who loves being close to people.

Euni is a cheerful and pure-hearted young Jindo mix with a naturally gentle temperament.

He has a bright personality and a loving nature that makes people fall for him quickly.

He especially enjoys being near people—making eye contact, leaning in for pets, and happily soaking up affection.

Euni is the kind of dog who simply wants to stay by your side and share quiet, happy moments together.

Despite growing up in a shelter environment, he has remained incredibly friendly, trusting, and full of love.

Personality & Social Life

• Naturally gentle, sweet, and affectionate
• Loves being close to people and receiving pets
• Makes eye contact and bonds easily with caregivers
• Very friendly with new people and welcomes affection
• Lives peacefully with about 20 other dogs at the shelter
• Gets along well with other dogs and enjoys playing with friends
• Has even formed a “best friend” among the dogs at the shelter
• Good with children
• Has not yet been tested with cats

Car Rides

Euni has only experienced a few car rides so far, but he handled a two-hour car ride without any problems. More experience will help him become even more comfortable.

House & Daily Life

Euni has lived in an outdoor shelter environment, so he currently uses outdoor potty habits. Since he has not yet experienced living in a home, he may need some time and gentle guidance while adjusting to indoor life and routines.

He is not known to bark frequently and is generally a calm and easygoing dog in his daily environment.

Because he has always lived with other dogs, he has not had much experience being completely alone yet.

With New People

Euni is naturally open and friendly toward strangers. When meeting new people, he approaches with curiosity and warmth, happily allowing pets and attention.

His affectionate personality makes him a wonderful companion for families who enjoy a loving and people-oriented dog.

With Other Dogs

Euni currently lives with around 20 other dogs at the shelter and has shown excellent social skills. He plays well with other dogs and avoids conflict.

He even has a close dog friend he spends a lot of time with.

Walking & Outdoor Life

Euni enjoys going for walks and does not mind wearing clothes or having a leash attached.

Because he is still a young and energetic dog, he may pull on the leash for the first few minutes of a walk due to excitement. After he has had time to sniff around and go potty, he settles down and walks much more calmly.

Thanks to the consistent efforts of shelter volunteers, his leash manners have already improved and continue to get better.

He is not sensitive to common outdoor noises such as cars, motorcycles, or construction sounds.

Grooming & Handling

• Bathing and brushing are easy for him
• Nail trimming is possible, though he may show slight reluctance
• Calm and cooperative during veterinary visits
• Handles injections and exams well

Rescue Story

During the extremely cold winter of November 2024, rescuers visited a municipal shelter to bring donated winter clothes for the dogs.

There they found a heartbreaking sight—a severely underweight mother dog trembling on the cold concrete floor while nursing five tiny puppies who appeared to be only about a month old.

Despite having almost nothing left, the mother dog was using the last of her body warmth to protect her babies.

The rescuers could not leave them behind.

They urgently arranged rescue and brought the mother and her five puppies into foster care. Sadly, one puppy passed away just three days later. But the mother regained her health, and the remaining four puppies grew up strong and healthy.

Among them, Euni stood out from the beginning for his incredibly gentle and loving personality. He adored people so much that volunteers would often joke about how sweet and innocent he was.

Even now, Euni still does not know what a true home feels like—a warm house where lights glow in the evening and a family gathers together.

We hope to find him a family who will show him that kind of love for the very first time.

Ideal Home

Euni would thrive in a home that can provide:

• Regular walks and exercise for a young dog
• A family with time to spend with him
• A loving environment where he can continue learning about the world

Although he is physically grown, Euni is still discovering new experiences. If he seems a little cautious at first in a new environment, gentle patience and kindness will help him quickly build confidence.

His sweet and easygoing personality also makes him a great match for first-time dog adopters.
