Ideal Home
Shanel would thrive in a calm and patient home that understands her soft and thoughtful nature.
A quieter environment will help her continue to feel safe and confident as she builds trust at her own pace.
She would do best with gentle adopters who appreciate a low-key, affectionate companion and allow her to blossom naturally.
A home with respectful dogs would also be a great match for her.
Rescue Story
Shanel was originally found abandoned in the mountains, surviving in heartbreaking conditions alongside several other dogs. She lived in mud and neglect, with very little food or care 🥺
Despite her difficult situation, one dedicated rescuer continued to visit her regularly for three years—bringing food, offering consistency, and slowly earning her trust 💚
During this long period, the rescuer patiently waited while the owner was unable to make the decision to relinquish the dogs. After three years of ongoing care and waiting, Shanel was finally able to leave those conditions and begin a new chapter in safety.
