Rescue Story

May was rescued from a municipal shelter in Cheongju, South Korea together with her brother, June.

Our rescue partner learned about the puppies through an online adoption appeal and traveled to the shelter to help.

Both siblings were still very young and needed a chance to grow up somewhere safe.

Thankfully, May and June were rescued together and were able to leave the shelter behind.

For May, that rescue was only the beginning.

Now she is waiting for the most important part of her story—a forever family of her own.

Personality & Temperament

May is a happy, outgoing puppy with a naturally social personality.

She enjoys being around other dogs, but people are clearly her favorite. Her caregiver describes her as roughly 70% people and 30% dogs, which says a lot about where her heart is.

May loves attention and responds warmly to people of all ages. She is comfortable meeting new people and, when someone shows her affection, she quickly responds with a wagging tail and happy enthusiasm.

She is playful, curious, and still very much a puppy who is learning about the world around her.

May also enjoys being active. She loves walks, running around outdoors, and having opportunities to explore. Her energy can vary depending on the situation, but she has plenty of playful puppy spirit.

Socialization

With People

May would do best with a family that enjoys having a social, affectionate young dog as part of their everyday life.

She would especially thrive with people who:

• Enjoy spending time with their dog
• Can provide daily walks and playtime
• Will continue positive reinforcement training
• Understand that she is still a young puppy who is learning
• Can provide structure, patience, and consistency as she matures

A compatible resident dog could be a nice bonus, but May does not need another dog in order to be happy.
